Can Bitcoin Reclaim Its Old Floor?

A few weeks back, Bitcoin broke out from its Macro Range by Weekly Closing above the Range High resistance of $82,530.
Last week, price was turning that level into new support in a Post-Breakout Retest, and now it is trying to break into the next range overhead, which stretches from $86,681 (lower blue horizontal) to $93,659 (upper blue horizontal).
As a result, Bitcoin is inside a bit of a technical no man's land.
Price is trying to keep $82500 as support while also pressing into the lower blue level to try to reclaim it and turn it into new support.
That level matters because it is technically where price was able to cluster in late 2025 to early 2026 before breaking down.
And we never really saw a cluster there until that development.
Usually, Bitcoin would just break beyond into the upper blue level and turn that into support.
In late 2024 and early 2025, the price progression was very clear: Weekly Close, retest, and rally higher into a cluster beyond.
So $93,500 makes a lot of sense as a pivot point, whereas $90k, or at least $86,700, was never really that well defined until this clustering developed in the early stages of the Bear Market.
That is why price needs to Weekly Close above the lower blue level, because this is where the previous multi-week floor developed.
Just this past week, however, Bitcoin Weekly Closed below it.
A Weekly Close above it, followed by a Post-Breakout Retest, would see price resynchronise over this blue-blue range, to enable a progression from the lower blue level to the upper one.
But that Weekly Close hasn't taken place just yet.
In fact, this is a repetition of the mid-2025 Weekly Close: price has Weekly Closed below this level and has been treating it as resistance.
Generally speaking, Bitcoin is pretty much sandwiched between $82,500 - $86,700 right now.
And each time price has resisted from $86,700, it has performed a volatile retest of the $82,500 region.
But those retests have been pretty messy.
So provided that $86,700 continues to act as the ceiling for the time being, another messy retest could potentially take place.
